The official website for the upcoming television anime ‘Nageki no Bourei wa Intai shitai’ (Let This Grieving Soul Retire!) made some exciting announcements on Friday. Along with a new main visual and a second promo, three new cast members were revealed for the show.

The anime, based on Tsukikage’s adventure fantasy novel, is set to debut on October 1 at 11:30 p.m. on Tokyo MX, BS-NTV, Sun TV, and other channels. Fans can look forward to seeing some familiar voices bringing the characters to life:
– Gark Welter will be voiced by Akio Ootsuka (known for his work on ‘The Fable’)
– Ark Rodin will be voiced by Jun Fukuyama (‘Isekai Suicide Squad’)
– Kaina Noss will be voiced by Haruka Michii (‘Shuumatsu no Harem’)

The anime is being directed by Masahiro Takata, with Hideki Shirane handling the series composition. Character design is being done by Yuusuke Isouchi and Shingo Fujisaki, while Ryouhei Sataka is composing the music.

The novel, originally serialized on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website starting in January 2018, has been a hit with readers. Micro Magazine began publishing the title in August of the same year, with illustrations by Chyko. The series has seen 11 volumes released so far, with the most recent one hitting shelves on February 29.

For fans who prefer manga adaptations, Rai Hebino has been serializing a manga version on the ComicWalker website since April 2019. Kadokawa has released nine volumes of the manga, with the latest one coming out on February 26.

English-speaking fans have also been able to enjoy the light novel, thanks to Sol Press licensing and releasing the first volume in December 2020. However, after Sol Press closed its doors in 2021, J-Novel Club took over the series in July 2022. The fifth volume was just released on September 9, and fans can expect the sixth volume to hit shelves on January 13, 2025.

With all this exciting news and the premiere date fast approaching, fans of ‘Nageki no Bourei wa Intai shitai’ have a lot to look forward to. Make sure to mark your calendars for October 1 and get ready for an adventure like no other!
