The Summer Pockets Prologue Party livestream event recently unveiled some exciting details about the upcoming television anime adaptation of Visual Arts/Key’s popular visual novel, Summer Pockets. Fans were treated to the first promotional video, additional cast members, and the opening and ending theme songs.

Konomi Suzuki, known for her work on the game’s theme songs, will be performing both the anime’s opening theme song titled “ALKA TALE” and the ending theme song “Lasting Moment.” The anime’s main visual was also revealed during the event.

The newly announced cast members include Saku Ichimiya as Miki Nomura, Sahomi Koyama as Shizuku Mizuori, Aimi Tanaka as Umi Katō, Megumi Takamoto as Kyoko Misaki, Minoru Shiraishi as Kobato Naruse, Konomi Suzuki as Inari, Kentarō Kumagai as Ryoichi Mitani, and Yōhei Hamada as Tenzen Kanō.

Set to debut in 2025, the anime will feature Shōya Chiba as Hairi Takahara, Konomi Kohara as Shiroha Naruse, Natsumi Takamori as Ao Sorakado, Nene Hieda as Kamome Kushima, and Emiri Iwai as Tsumugi Wenders. The series will be directed by Tomoki Kobayashi, with Keiichirō Ōchi overseeing the scripts and Mai Otsuka designing the characters.

The original Summer Pockets game, released for PC in 2018 in Japan, has since seen various adaptations and updated versions for different platforms. The English version of the game was made available on Steam in 2020.

The story of Summer Pockets takes place in a rural district on an isolated island, focusing on a nostalgic summer. With an original concept by Jun Maeda and stunning character designs by Na-Ga, Tsubasu Izumi, Yūnon Nagayama, and Fumuyun, the game offers a unique and immersive experience for players.
