The Aniplex Online Fest 2024 event recently made an exciting announcement regarding the television anime adaptation of Nana Ootori’s light novel, “Saigo ni Hitotsu dake Onegai shitemo Yoroshii deshou ka” (May I Ask for One Final Thing?). Set to premiere in 2025, the anime will feature Asami Seto from “Jujutsu Kaisen” as the lead character, Scarlet El Vandimion.
The main staff for the anime has also been revealed, with Kazuya Sakamoto serving as the director, Deko Akao as the series composer, Eriko Haga as the character designer, Hinako Tsubakiyama handling the music, and Satoshi Motoyama as the sound director. The anime will be produced by LIDENFILMS Kyoto Studio.
Ootori began writing this action romance light novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in 2018. The series has been well-received, with over 1.4 million copies of its volumes in circulation. Additionally, a manga adaptation by Sora Hoonoki has been serialized in Regina magazine since 2019.
The story follows Scarlet, whose engagement is abruptly called off by her fiancé, Kyle, at a ball. Falsely accused of being a bully, Scarlet is labeled a “Villainess” by society. Tired of enduring Kyle’s mistreatment, she decides to seek revenge by asking for one final favor – to give him a good punch in the face. Thus begins Scarlet’s journey of standing up against her oppressors and reclaiming her dignity.
