The official Pokémon YouTube channel recently released a new animated video titled “Pokémon-tachi to Aki no Tsuki” (Pokémon and the Autumn Moon). In this short video, Pikachu and friends are seen celebrating mid-autumn. The animation was done by the Shanghai Animation Film Studio based in China.

This release comes as a part of the ongoing Pokémon Horizons: The Series anime, which is set to start its fourth arc on October 11th. The anime first premiered in Japan back in April 2023 with a special one-hour episode. It currently airs on Fridays at 6:55 p.m. JST. The second arc titled “Terapagos no Kagayaki” (The Brilliance of Terapagos) began with the 29th episode last October, and the “Terastal Debut” arc premiered on April 12th.

In related news, WildBrain recently announced a partnership with The Pokémon Company to become the sole distributor of the Pokémon FAST (free ad-supported television) channel in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. This channel will stream 22 seasons of the original Pokémon anime, following Ash Ketchum’s journey through The Beginning, Gold and Silver, Ruby and Sapphire, Diamond and Pearl, Black and White, XY, and Sun and Moon.
