Tsukiko’s Batsukoi manga is getting a live-action series that will premiere on October 19 on BS TV Tokyo and TV Osaka. The series will star Riho Takada as Kahori Mirumachi and Shu Watanabe as Teruyoshi Sunagoya. The story follows Kahori, a lawyer who only wants to enjoy the good parts of a relationship without getting involved in affairs. However, she finds herself falling in love with Teruyoshi, a teacher going through a divorce, leading to an unintentional affair.

The manga was originally serialized in Kodansha’s Hatsu Kiss magazine from December 2014 to July 2019. The series will be directed by Tomoko Tanaka, Seigo Noguchi, Toshimitsu Chimura, and Nobuaki Suzuki, with scripts by various writers.

In addition to the Batsukoi manga, Tsukiko also wrote “She, Her Camera, and Her Seasons,” which has been released in English by Kodansha USA Publishing. Fans of Tsukiko’s work can look forward to seeing the beloved manga come to life on screen in this upcoming live-action adaptation.
