Zatsu Tabi -That’s Journey- Anime Casts Sayumi Suzushiro and Sae Hiratsuka

A recent announcement from Kadokawa revealed that the upcoming anime adaptation of Kenta Ishizaka’s manga “Zatsu Tabi -That’s Journey-” has added two new cast members. Sayumi Suzushiro will play Koyomi Hasunuma, Chika’s best friend since high school, while Sae Hiratsuka will portray Yui Unoki, Chika and Koyomi’s junior in high school. These characters will be important figures in the story, providing support and friendship to the protagonist, Chika Suzugamori, voiced by Hika Tsukishiro.

The anime is set to premiere in 2025 and will be directed by Masaharu Watanabe, known for his work on series like “Wakaba Girl” and “Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-“. Yoshiko Nakamura will handle the series scripts, and rere will be responsible for character design. The music for the series will be composed by Yoshiaki Fujisawa, adding to the overall atmosphere of the show.

The manga follows the journey of Chika Suzugamori, a college student who has faced rejection in her attempts to break into the manga industry. Feeling disheartened, she decides to embark on a spontaneous travel adventure without a clear goal in mind. This decision leads her to new experiences, encounters, and personal growth as she navigates through various challenges along the way.

Kenta Ishizaka’s manga, which started in Dengeki Maoh magazine in March 2019, has been well-received by readers, leading to the production of the anime adaptation. The addition of Sayumi Suzushiro and Sae Hiratsuka to the cast further enhances the storytelling and character dynamics that fans can look forward to in the upcoming series.
