Yuu Minamoto, the creator of Samurai Harem, has recently launched a new manga series titled “Watashi-tachi wa Kakechigatteiru” (We’re at Odds with Each Other) on Akita Shoten’s Champion Cross platform on October 17. The story revolves around the shy and elegant “Idomu” Takaku and his beautiful classmate Hazuki Shinohara, who struggle to communicate their feelings for each other.
Prior to this new series, Minamoto ended the manga “Kasen Kōshu Yawa: Sono Reijin, Kōkyū no Yami o Kiru” on February 6. This manga was based on a light novel series by Tōko Kisaki and illustrator Roro Kamijō. Additionally, Minamoto concluded the manga “Haken no Ninja Akabane” on Akita Shoten’s Manga Cross website in March 2023.
Fans of Minamoto may be familiar with their previous works, such as “Samurai Harem: Asu no Yoichi” and “Haru Polish.” “Samurai Harem” was published in North America by Tokyopop, and an anime adaptation was released by Sentai Filmworks and Section23 Films. “Haru Polish,” a collaboration with Bamboo Blade writer Masahiro Totsuka, followed the story of a high-school girl in a swordfighting club.
Minamoto’s latest manga series promises to deliver a heartfelt and intriguing story of two individuals navigating the complexities of their emotions and relationships. Fans of Minamoto’s previous works and new readers alike can look forward to diving into this exciting new series.
