Yūri Shibamura’s Eiyū Sonogo no Second Life Novels Get Manga Adaptation
The latest issue of Kadokawa’s Young Dragon Age magazine announced that Hiro Tōge will be launching a manga adaptation of Yūri Shibamura’s novel series, Eiyū Sonogo no Second Life: Shikashi Kodomo ni Ryо̄ri wo Furumau no wa Tanoshii kamo na (Hero’s Second Life: But It Might Be Fun to Cook for Kids) on December 26.
The story revolves around a navy admiral who is known as the Sword of Alba and is sent to a military academy for study. However, his encounter with a fairy leads him to an elven academy instead, where he ends up cooking for young children. The novel series was originally published on the Kakuyomu website in November 2023, with the first light novel volume released by Kadokawa in April 25, followed by the second volume on September 25.
Yūri Shibamura is also known for the Marginal Operation light novels, which were first published in February 2012. The manga adaptation of Marginal Operation, illustrated by Yoshinori Shizuma, ran in Kodansha’s Afternoon magazine from 2013 to 2021.
The upcoming manga adaptation of Eiyū Sonogo no Second Life promises to bring a unique blend of fantasy, military, and cooking elements to readers. With Tōge at the helm of the adaptation, fans can look forward to a visually engaging and captivating experience when the manga debuts in December.
