The second season of the Chinese-animated series adaptation of Kaisei Enomoto’s “A Herbivorous Dragon of 5,000 Years Gets Unfairly Villainized” novel series is set to premiere on October 2. The latest promo video for the upcoming season reveals the ending theme song “Ameiro Suisai” by MiMi.

The Japanese dub of the second season will air on Tokyo MX on October 2 and BS Fuji on October 8. The series will also be available for streaming on various platforms starting from October 2. The show features new Japanese voice cast members including Yui Ishikawa, Iori Noguchi, Takuma Nagatsuka, Momo Sakurai, Haruki Ishiya, Chafūrin, and Kōhei Amasaki.

The story follows Reiko, who forms an unlikely alliance with a 5,000-year-old dragon to defeat the demon king threatening her village. However, the dragon turns out to be a vegetarian and not as fierce as expected. Together, they embark on a journey to confront the demon king, with Reiko claiming to be the dragon’s disciple and harnessing his powers.

The “A Herbivorous Dragon of 5,000 Years Gets Unfairly Villainized” novels were originally published on the “Shōsetsuka ni Narō” website in 2017. The manga adaptation by Murokouichi ran in Square Enix’s Gangan Joker magazine from 2018 to 2019. The series has gained popularity and is now being adapted into an animated show for fans to enjoy.
