ABC Animation recently announced that the popular murder mystery party game, Murder Mystery of the Dead Party, will be adapted into a television anime series set to premiere on November 13. The anime will be accompanied by a special program airing on November 6.
The cast of the anime includes Moe Kahara as Mikoto Amano, Lynn as Ranna Kuze, Kiyono Yasuno as Yū Kodama, Madoka Asahina as Rumina, Maki Kawase as Fumika Shinohara, Tsubaki Makino as Riri Aramaki, and Hikaru Tohno as Murumuru. The original plan for the anime was developed by Ryō Kawakami and Hideki Morikawa from Group SNE and cosaic.
Tomohiro Ishii is set to direct the anime, with Giggle Akiguchi overseeing the series scripts. Teren Mikami, known for their work on the light novel “There’s No Freaking Way I’ll Be Your Lover! Unless…”, will be writing the scripts. The original party game is designed for 7-8 players and does not require a game master. It is set in a shopping mall after a zombie pandemic has caused the collapse of civilization.
