Bandai Namco Entertainment recently released a new character trailer for their upcoming game, Bleach: Rebirth of Souls. This 3D arena fighting game is set to be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The trailer introduces the abilities of Tōshirō Hitsugaya, a beloved character from the Bleach franchise.

In the game, players will engage in battles where they use attacks to cut down their opponents’ Reishi. Lowering their opponent’s Reishi gauge will decrease their Konpaku, which represents their health in the form of nine bars. Players can use combos to destroy multiple Konpaku and employ reverse actions while attacking and defending. By accumulating spiritual power, fighters can unleash powerful Spiritual Pressure Moves and even awaken and use Bankai.

The game’s story and characters will cover the original manga from the “Substitute Soul Reaper” arc up to the “Arrancar” arc. Players will be able to enjoy thrilling action-packed battles with iconic characters from the anime, such as Ichigo Kurosaki, Rukia Kuchiki, Uryu Ishida, and Yasutora Sado (Chad). Unique sword abilities like Bankai can be unleashed, and new forms can be unlocked during battles to claim victory against opponents.

The release date for the game has not been revealed yet, but it was mentioned that the 20th anniversary of the Bleach anime served as inspiration for its development. Katsuaki Tsuzuki is the game’s producer.

Fans of the Bleach franchise will be happy to know that there are other smartphone games available, such as Bleach: Immortal Soul, Bleach: Paradise Lost, BLEACH Kyo・Kai-Tamashinokakusei: Shinigami, and Bleach: Soul Rising. Additionally, KLab is working on a new hybrid casual game based on the Bleach anime series.

For those following the recent Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War anime, the first cours premiered in October 2022 and ended in December 2022. The anime’s second cours began in July 2023, and the third part is set to air on October 5. The anime will cover the Thousand Year Blood War arc, the final arc of the manga, spanning volumes 55-74.

Overall, fans of the Bleach franchise have a lot to look forward to with the upcoming game, Bleach: Rebirth of Souls, and the ongoing anime adaptation of the Thousand-Year Blood War arc. Stay tuned for more updates and announcements from Bandai Namco Entertainment.
