The company will also release a free update for all players, introducing a new chapter titled “Unforgotten Echoes.” This update will offer additional content and expand the game’s narrative for all users to enjoy.

Tekken 8 previously added the DLC character Lidia Sobieska, who was initially launched on July 22 and officially released on July 25. Eddy Gordo, the first DLC character, made his debut on April 4, with early access for Deluxe Edition or Ultimate Edition purchasers on April 1.

Since its launch on January 26 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, Tekken 8 has garnered significant success, surpassing 2 million copies in sales worldwide by February. The game boasts a roster of 32 characters, including iconic fighters like Jin Kazama, Kazuya Mishima, Nina Williams, and more.

In addition to the exciting character additions, Tekken 8 features a Tekken shop where players can access both free and paid additional content. DLC characters will have their stories expanded through a dedicated story mode, offering a deeper dive into their backgrounds and motivations. The game also introduced the Tekken World Tour in April, adding another layer of competitive play for fans.

Looking ahead, the Tekken: Bloodline anime series, based on the Tekken 3 fighting game, premiered on Netflix in August 2022, further expanding the franchise’s reach and storytelling.

Overall, the addition of Heihachi Mishima as a DLC character in Tekken 8 adds another layer of excitement and depth to an already beloved game. Players can look forward to experiencing new costumes, stages, and narratives as they continue their journey in the Tekken universe.
