Bandai Namco Entertainment’s highly anticipated game, Synduality Echo of Ada, unveiled a new trailer during the Microsoft Japan Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2024 Broadcast livestream. The trailer not only showcased exciting gameplay but also revealed the official release date of January 24, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Fans in Japan can get their hands on the game a day earlier, on January 23.
Set in the year 2222, Synduality Echo of Ada takes players on a thrilling journey in a post-apocalyptic world devastated by a mysterious rain known as Tears of the New Moon. This catastrophic event nearly wiped out humanity, leading to the emergence of deformed creatures that prey on humans. In a bid for survival, humans establish an underground haven called Amasia. It is within this dystopian city that the story unfolds, with the introduction of an Artificial Intelligence entity named Magus. As humans and AI navigate their coexistence, they embark on a quest to uncover their truths in a world plagued by danger and uncertainty.
The game has already generated significant buzz through closed beta tests and closed network tests, which introduced enhanced gameplay features, more customization options, AI Magus companions, upgraded combat abilities, balance adjustments, and much more. The development team has been hard at work refining the game to deliver an immersive and engaging experience for players.
Synduality Echo of Ada is part of Bandai Namco Filmworks and Bandai Spirits’ Synduality project, which also includes a television anime series. The anime’s second cour premiered on multiple TV channels in Japan and on Disney+ for global audiences. Additionally, a manga spinoff titled Synduality: Ellie, focusing on the character Ellie, debuted in Monthly Comic Alive magazine. The franchise has further expanded with a novelization under Kadokawa’s MF Bunko J label and a separate novel spinoff titled Synduality: Kaleido.
