NIS America recently unveiled a new RPG Maker software called RPG Maker WITH, which is part of the RPG Maker series developed by Gotcha Gotcha Games. The software trailer released showcased the PLAYER demo, giving users a glimpse of what they can expect from the upcoming release.

Set to launch on October 11 for the Nintendo Switch in the West, RPG Maker WITH will also make its way to the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 in 2025. The software initially debuted in Japan for the Switch on April 11, with plans for future releases on the PS4 and PS5 platforms.

One of the exciting features of RPG Maker WITH is the ability for creators to collaborate and share assets with others, opening up possibilities for more interactive and engaging game development. This collaborative aspect sets it apart from previous entries in the RPG Maker series and enhances the overall user experience.

Gotcha Gotcha Games had previously introduced RPG Maker Unite software in the Unity Asset Store back in April 2023. While RPG Maker WITH was originally scheduled for release in 2022, it underwent several delays to ensure quality and stability. The software’s optimization process led to its eventual launch on the Unity Asset Store and upcoming release on Steam later this year.

In the world of game development, RPG Maker MZ (RPG Tsukūru MZ) was the predecessor to RPG Maker WITH, released on PC via Steam in August 2020 by Kadokawa. The progression from MZ to WITH signifies advancements in game creation tools and technology, offering users more options and features to bring their creative visions to life.

As the gaming industry continues to evolve, software like RPG Maker WITH empowers aspiring game developers to explore their creativity and build unique gaming experiences. With its upcoming release on multiple platforms and collaborative features, RPG Maker WITH is poised to make a significant impact on the world of indie game development. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new software as it gets ready to launch this October.
