The star-studded cast includes Toshiyuki Toyonaga, Tomokazu Sugita, Yu Shimamura, Romi Park, Yūichi Nakamura, Kaito Ishikawa, and more, bringing the characters to life with their voice talents.

The story follows Hikaru, a regular middle school student whose life takes an unexpected turn when he encounters Alma, an alien entity known as a Mecha-Ude. Alma, a member of a rare species, is on the run from a dangerous group hunting their kind for their unique powers. Teamed up with the resistance group ARMS, Hikaru and Alma embark on a dangerous journey to protect the Mecha-Ude and fight against the looming threat.

The original creator, Sae Okamoto, is also directing the anime under the name Okamoto at the TriF Studio. With a talented team of animators, scriptwriters, character designers, and music composers, the Mecha-Ude anime promises to deliver an exciting and immersive viewing experience for fans of the original project.

The project’s journey to becoming a full-fledged anime series was made possible through successful crowdfunding campaigns, including a Kickstarter campaign that raised over US$67,000 and a Japanese Campfire campaign that exceeded its initial goal. The anime’s premiere at Anime Expo in 2023 generated significant buzz and anticipation among anime enthusiasts.

In addition to the anime adaptation, Yoshino Koyoka launched a manga adaptation of Mecha-Ude, which has been well-received by readers. The English version of the manga, titled “Mecha-Ude: Mechanical Arms,” was released in July 2023, further expanding the reach of the project to a global audience.
