The Let This Grieving Soul Retire! anime has added three new cast members to its lineup for the fifth episode. Ryōhei Kimura will voice Sven, Takashi Matsuyama will voice Noctus, and Reina Ueda will voice Sophia. The anime premiered on October 1, and Crunchyroll is streaming it as it airs.
The story follows Krai Andrey, who dreams of becoming a treasure hunter but soon realizes he may not be cut out for the job. As his childhood friends excel in their pursuits, Krai starts to question his own path and wishes to retire from the dangerous profession.
The anime is directed by Masahiro Takata and produced by Zero-G. Kenshō Ono and Miyu Kubota lead the cast as Krai Andrey and Tino Shade, respectively. The series is based on a light novel series by Tsukikage and Chyko, which was serialized online and later published by Micro Magazine.
J-Novel Club holds the English license for the novels, while Yen Press publishes the manga adaptation. The story combines elements of adventure, friendship, and self-discovery as the characters navigate the risks and rewards of treasure hunting.
