The second promotional video for the anime “Okinawa de Suki ni Natta Ko ga Hōgen Sugite Tsurasugiru” introduced four new cast members. Yamato Kinjo plays Tetsu Higa, Kana’s older brother, Miyuri Shimabukuro plays Suzu Higa, Kana’s younger sister, Risa Tsumugi plays Naoya Higa, Kana’s cousin, and Yuko Gibu plays Sachiko Kyan, Hina’s grandmother.
The anime is set to premiere in January 2025 on TOKYO MX, BS11, Okinawa TV, Ryukyu Broadcasting, and Ryukyu Asahi Broadcasting. The opening theme song will be performed by the band HY from Uruma, Okinawa.

The manga originally debuted on Shinchosha’s Kurage Bunch website in January 2020 and has gained popularity with 350,000 copies in circulation. The anime adaptation is helmed by Shin Itagaki as the chief director, with Shingo Tanabe directing at Millepensee. Tomohiro Yoshida serves as the character designer, and the music is composed by Tomohisa Ishikawa, Yoshimi Katayama, and Ayano Kinjō at King Records.
