A new live-action series for the Love Live! franchise, titled Love Live! School Idol Musical the Drama, has unveiled more cast members and a key visual. The series is based on the franchise’s first stage musical and is set to premiere on various TV channels on November 21.
The newly announced cast members include Marumi Shuhoma as Madoka Tsubaki, the board chair of Tsubakisakuhana Girls High School, and Kei Otozuki as Kyōka Takiza, the board chair of Takizakura Girls Academy. The series will feature a storyline that revolves around students from two prestigious schools in Hyogo and Osaka.
The musical had its initial run in Tokyo and Osaka in 2022 and 2023, with additional performances scheduled for 2025. The new series promises to bring a fresh story, setting, and characters to the Love Live! universe, focusing on the rivalry between the idol clubs of the two schools.
In other news, the Love Live! franchise recently premiered the first film of the Love Live! Nijigasaki Gakuen School Idol Dōkōkai Kanketsu-hen trilogy and the third season of Love Live! Superstar!!. Fans of the franchise have a lot to look forward to with these new releases.
