For the past five years, the beloved anime series “Doraemon” has been accompanied by Gen Hoshino’s theme song. However, as the show gears up to celebrate 45 years of Doraemon films, a new theme song is set to take its place. The final appearance of Hoshino’s song will be on November 9, making way for the return of the 2007 hit “Yume wo Kanaete Doraemon” with a fresh twist. Fans can expect multiple versions of the song to be featured throughout the series, each accompanied by iconic scenes from Doraemon films spanning the years.

In addition to the exciting theme song change, fans can also look forward to the upcoming film “Nobita’s Picture World Story.” Set to be the 44th film in Japan and scheduled for release on March 7, 2025, the movie will be directed by Yukiyo Teramoto and feature a script by series regular Satoshi Ito. The official website describes the film’s storyline as follows: “The story is set in the magnificent medieval European world depicted in the pictures. Doraemon and his friends dive into the ‘world of pictures’ and have a great adventure in this completely original story!!”

With the anticipation building for both the new theme song and the upcoming film, fans of Doraemon have a lot to look forward to in the coming months. Stay tuned for more updates and announcements as the beloved anime series continues to captivate audiences of all ages with its heartwarming stories and iconic characters.
