DAN DA DAN
Every writer has their own set of cliches that they tend to fall back on, and one of mine is referring to beloved characters as “loveable idiots.” However, in the case of DAN DA DAN, Momo and Okarun may be loveable, but they are not idiots. They are kids who are navigating complicated emotions in their own way. Aira Shiratori, on the other hand, is a true loveable idiot, with her flirtatious bullying and eccentric behavior. Despite her quirks, she adds an interesting dynamic to the show.
The latest episode, “A Dangerous Woman Arrives,” introduces Aira to the world of yokai, aliens, and psychic powers. Her earnest but misguided efforts to fight evil, based on a misunderstanding involving Okarun’s gold-plated object, make for a humorous and endearing storyline. Despite her lack of understanding, viewers can’t help but root for her and her devoted lackeys.
Aira’s meddling leads to another thrilling battle against the Lady in Red, showcasing unique animation and dynamic fight sequences. The episode is well-crafted, with attention to detail and comedic moments that keep viewers engaged. The show continues to shine in terms of animation quality and storytelling, setting it apart from other seasonal anime offerings.
Overall, DAN DA DAN continues to impress with its blend of humor, action, and heartwarming moments. Fans can look forward to more exciting episodes as the series progresses.
