Aniplex recently unveiled a teaser trailer and visual for the upcoming television anime adaptation of Keiichirō Shibuya’s “Introduction to Mineralogy” manga. During the Aniplex Online Fest stream, the video revealed the main duo’s cast and the staff working on the anime.

The cast includes Miyari Nemoto as Ruri Tanigawa and Asami Seto as Nagi Arato. Shingo Fujii, known for “ONIMAI: I’m Now Your Sister!”, is directing the anime at Studio Bind. Michiko Yokote, who has worked on series like “Shirobako” and “Prison School,” is in charge of the series composition. Mayu Fujii is designing the characters, while Kōhei Yoshida serves as the sound director. Daisuke Arawa and Kazuki Yanagawa are composing the music for the series.

The “science adventure” story follows high school student Ruri, a girl with a passion for minerals and jewelry. One day, she meets Nagi, a mineralogy graduate student, who introduces her to the fascinating world of mineralogy.

The manga series was originally launched in Kadokawa’s Harta magazine in 2019, and the fifth and final compiled volume was released on September 13. The anime adaptation is set to premiere in 2025.
