Meet the Newest Cast Members of Live-Action Wingman Series

The live-action television series adaptation of Masakazu Katsura’s Wingman manga has revealed five new cast members, adding to the excitement surrounding the upcoming show. The staff behind the series unveiled the cast visual and introduced the new additions to the ensemble on Wednesday.

The newly announced cast members are as follows:

– Mamoru Miyano as Kitakura-sensei
– Kurara Emi as Matsuoka-sensei
– Kōji Matoba as Seidō Hirono
– Shinobu Nakayama as Yoshiko Hirono
– Daikichi Sugawara as the Prime Minister

The series is set to premiere on October 22 at 24:30, marking the 40th anniversary of the original manga series. Fans can expect new episodes to air every Tuesday following the premiere. Prior to its television debut, the series will be available on the DMM TV service starting October 16. TV Tokyo and Toei Video have partnered with DMM TV to bring this adaptation to life.

The main cast includes Maito Fujioka as Kenta Hirono, Konatsu Kato as Aoi, Hina Kikuchi as Miku Ogawa, Hiyori Katada as Kumiko Fuzawa, Amane Uehara as Momoko Morimoto, Jōtarō as Tomō Fukumoto, Yūno Ōhara as Sakagami, Ui Mihara as Kurotsu, and Haruki Tachibana as Tatsuo Saitō.

Directed by Kōichi Sakamoto, known for his work on projects like Kamen Rider Fourze and Ultraman Ginga S, the series promises to bring the beloved manga to life in a new and exciting way. The scripts for the series are penned by Yoshitatsu Yamada, Masaki Nishigaki, and Yuya Nakazono, ensuring a compelling narrative that stays true to the spirit of the original story.

The opening theme song, “chang[e],” will be performed by rock band BLUE ENCOUNT, adding another layer of excitement to the series.
