Mecha-Ude, an anime featuring mechanical arms, premiered on October 3rd, and a new trailer showcasing the climax of the series has been released by Pony Canyon.

The anime is being produced by TriF Studio, with Sae Okamoto serving as the director. The series scripts are written by Yasuhiro Nakanishi, known for his work on My Love Story With Yamada-kun and Kaguya-sama: Love is War. The character designs are created by Terumi Nishii and Yoko Uchida.

The voice cast includes Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Hikaru, Tomokazu Sugita as Alma, Yu Shimamura as Aki, and many other talented actors lending their voices to the characters. The opening theme song “VORTEX” and the ending theme “karma” are performed by Setsuko of Kuhaku Gokko, with music composed by Hiroyuki Sawano.

Originally, a pilot episode of Mecha-Ude was released in 2019 and received an English dub. The project was made possible through successful Kickstarter and Japanese Campfire crowdfunding campaigns. The announcement of a full anime series came in 2022, leading to the creation of the ongoing show.

In addition to the anime, there is a Mecha-Ude manga adaptation by Yoshino Koyoka available in English through Asuki. The story follows Hikaru’s encounter with Alma, an alien entity known as Mecha-Ude, leading them on a journey to save their kind from a sinister group.
