Born in Itō, Shizuoka Prefecture on December 17, 1961, Midō made his debut under the name Kazuhiko Fujio with the manga “Ranchiki DAY by DAY” in Shogakukan’s Shōnen Big Comic in 1981. Throughout his career, he created several notable works such as “Radical Dreamin'” in 1985, “Onsen Gappa Donpa” in 1991, “Ultra Ninpōchō” in 1992, and “Usatan” in 2008.
Among his achievements, “Ultra Ninpouchou” received the Best Children’s Manga award at the 28th Kodansha Manga Award in 2004, solidifying Midō’s legacy in the manga industry. His unique storytelling and creative vision left a lasting impact on readers and fellow creators alike.
