The upcoming anime “Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf!” based on Suzuki Makishima’s light novels is set to debut in January 2025. The official website revealed new cast members, theme songs, and a visual for the show.
Yumi Uchiyama will voice Wridra, and Rico Sasaki will voice Mewi. Sasaki is also performing the opening theme song “Palette Days,” while Nijisanji VTubers Kaede Higuchi and Kanae are singing the ending theme song “Yummy Yummy.”
The anime will air on MBS, TBS, and CBC’s “Animeism” programming block, as well as on BS11 and AT-X. The main cast includes Yūsuke Kobayashi as Kazuhiro Kitase / Kazuhiho and Kaede Hondo as Marie.
Directed by Tōru Kitahata and produced by studio Zero-G, the series will feature scripts by Aya Yoshinaga and character design by Madoka Hirayama.
The story follows Kazuhiro Kitase, whose only hobby is sleeping. One day, he embarks on an adventure with an elf girl in his dreams, only to wake up and find her next to him in real life. Together, they explore Japan in a new set of adventures.
The light novels and manga adaptation are available in English through J-Novel Club. The series began on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in 2017, with illustrations by Yappen.
Fans can look forward to the unique blend of fantasy and reality in “Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf!” as it brings dreams to life on screen. Stay tuned for the exciting debut in January 2025.
