Aniplex recently announced that Haruna Mikawa will be voicing the character of Satsuki Amamiya in the upcoming anime adaptation of Afro’s mono 4-panel manga. The premiere is set for 2025, as revealed during the Aniplex Online Fest stream.

The manga, which follows high school girls in the “cinephoto” club that combines cinema and photography, was launched by Afro in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Carat in March 2017. Ryota Aikei, known for his work as an assistant director on Jujutsu Kaisen, will be directing the anime at Soigne. The character designs are by Takuya Miyahara, and Yoko Yonaiyama, known for A Sign of Affection, is in charge of the script. Aniplex is producing the anime.

Afro is also the creator of the popular Laid-Back Camp manga, which was serialized in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Forward magazine in 2015. The manga received an anime adaptation in 2018, with a second season in 2021 and a third season in 2023. An anime film based on the manga was released in 2022.

Fans of Afro’s work and the mono manga can look forward to the upcoming anime adaptation with Haruna Mikawa as part of the cast. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting project.
