Toei Animation recently announced that the English dub of the Dragon Ball Daima anime series will have a special screening in U.S. theaters on November 10-12. The trailer for the English dub was released, giving fans a preview of the dub voices.

The anime will debut on Fuji TV on Fridays at 11:40 p.m. starting on October 11. The first episode will be extended by 10 minutes. In addition, there will be a special event called “Dragon Ball Daimatsuri” on October 6 at Tokyo Big Sight to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the series. The event will feature three screenings of the first episode, with cast members present at two of them.

The series directors for Dragon Ball Daima are Yoshitaka Yashima and Aya Komaki, with Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru adapting Akira Toriyama’s character designs and Yuuko Kakihara supervising and writing the scripts. The opening theme song “Jaka Jaan” is performed by Zedd feat. C&K, while the ending theme song “Nakama” is performed by ZEDD feat. Ai.

In this new series, characters like Goku and Vegeta will become younger, a different take from the Dragon Ball GT storyline where Goku turns into a child. The title “Daima” doesn’t have a specific meaning, but the kanji characters could be translated to “Evil.”

Dragon Ball Super, the predecessor to Dragon Ball Daima, aired from 2015 to 2018 with 131 episodes. The anime film Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero premiered in Japan in 2022 and later in the U.S. Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures distributed the film globally.

Fans of the Dragon Ball franchise can look forward to the English dub screening of Dragon Ball Daima in November, offering a new twist on beloved characters in the series.
