A new TV anime based on the upcoming “Decapolice” game by LEVEL5 is currently in production. The announcement was made during the LEVEL5 VISION 2024 TO THE WORLD’S CHILDREN livestream. The anime is set to be released alongside the game in 2026, following a recent delay in the game’s release date. LEVEL5 CEO Akihiro Hino mentioned that the delay is due to enhancements in the game’s visuals and content.
In the meantime, a theme song trailer featuring the song “City of Love” by GARNiDELiA’s MARiA has been released. The game will be available on Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, and Steam. “Decapolice” follows the story of a rookie detective named Harvard who tackles criminals in a large open-world city, moving between physical and virtual reality.
