The television anime adaptation of Yukinobu Tatsu’s Dandadan manga has revealed some exciting new updates. The official website shared additional cast members, a fresh visual, and three commercial videos to give fans a taste of what’s to come. The anime is set to debut on October 4 at 12:26 a.m. on MBS and TBS’ Super Animeism TURBO programming block.

The cast includes some familiar names from the anime world:
– Ryuuzaburou Ootomo (One Piece) as Flatwoods Monster
– Kikuko Inoue (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood) as Acrobatic Silky
– Tomokazu Seki (Fate/stay night) as Dover Demon
– Tomokazu Sugita (Gintama) as Tarou
– Fumi Hirano (Urusei Yatsura) as Hana

The ending theme “TAIDAMA” will be performed by ZUTOMAYO, known for their work on the Chainsaw Man ending theme 2. The theme is featured in one of the commercial videos, giving viewers a sneak peek at what to expect.

Behind the scenes, Fuuga Yamashiro, assistant director of Eizouken ni wa Te wo Dasu na!, is taking the helm as director of the anime at Science SARU. Hiroshi Seko, responsible for Chainsaw Man, is in charge of series composition and scriptwriting. Naoyuki Onda, known for Inuyashiki, is handling character design, and Kensuke Ushio, recognized for Devilman Crybaby, is composing the music.

Yukinobu Tatsu began serializing Dandadan in the Shounen Jump+ web magazine in April 2021. The 15th volume was published by Shueisha on July 4, showcasing the continued popularity of the series. VIZ Media acquired the English license for the manga in February 2022, with the eighth volume hitting shelves on July 16. Shueisha is also making the manga available in English on its Manga Plus website and app, ensuring fans worldwide can enjoy the story.
