Bandai Namco Entertainment recently released a new character trailer for the upcoming game “Bleach: Rebirth of Souls,” set to be launched in early 2025 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The trailer focuses on introducing the character Soi Fon and her abilities in the game.
In this 3D arena fighting game, players engage in battles where they use attacks to deplete their opponent’s Reishi. Lowering the opponent’s Reishi gauge reduces their Konpaku, which represents their health with nine bars. Players can utilize combos to diminish multiple Konpaku and use reverse actions during both offense and defense. By accumulating spiritual power, fighters can execute Spiritual Pressure Moves, awaken, and unleash their Bankai.
The game’s narrative will cover the original manga storyline from the “Substitute Soul Reaper” arc to the “Arrancar” arc. Players can expect to see iconic characters from the Bleach series like Ichigo Kurosaki, Rukia Kuchiki, Uryu Ishida, and Yasutora Sado (Chad) in action. The game allows players to unleash unique sword abilities like Bankai and unlock new forms during battles to secure victory.
The development of “Bleach: Rebirth of Souls” was inspired by the 20th anniversary of the Bleach anime. Katsuaki Tsuzuki serves as the game’s producer. Fans of the franchise may already be familiar with “Bleach: Brave Souls,” an action role-playing game for mobile devices launched by KLab in 2015. The game has seen various releases on different platforms over the years.
Additionally, there are other smartphone games in the Bleach series, including “Bleach: Immortal Soul,” “Bleach: Paradise Lost,” “BLEACH Kyo・Kai-Tamashinokakusei: Shinigami,” and “Bleach: Soul Rising.” KLab is also working on a new hybrid casual game based on the Bleach anime series.
For anime enthusiasts, the “Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War” anime has been airing, covering the final arc of the manga with breaks in between cours. The series premiered in October 2022 and is set to run for four cours, encompassing volumes 55-74 of the original manga.
Fans of the Bleach franchise can look forward to immersing themselves in the world of Soul Reapers, Bankai, and intense battles when “Bleach: Rebirth of Souls” hits gaming platforms in early 2025. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting addition to the Bleach universe.
