The trailer for the second season of the animated spinoff series Castlevania: Nocturne has been released by Netflix, revealing that the season will premiere in January 2025. The series is a spinoff of Frederator Studios’ Castlevania animated show and follows Richter Belmont and Maria Renard during the French Revolution in 1792. This season serves as an origin story for Richter, who is a descendant of the original show’s protagonists Sypha and Trevor.

The show is produced by Project 51 Productions with production services by Powerhouse Animation, and the showrunner is Kevin Kolde with Clive Bradley as the creator and writer. The original series premiered in 2017, with subsequent seasons following in 2018, 2020, and 2021. The series is based on the classic video game franchise and follows a vampire hunter fighting against Dracula and his army of otherworldly beasts.

The English cast includes Graham McTavish as Dracula, Richard Armitage as Trevor Belmont, James Callis as Alucard, Alejandra Reynoso as Sypha Belnades, Emily Swallow as Lisa Tepes, and Tony Amendola as The Elder.
