Bandai Namco Entertainment recently released a new character trailer for the upcoming game Bleach: Rebirth of Souls. The game is a 3D arena fighting game set to be released in early 2025 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The trailer showcases Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez and his abilities in the game.
In Bleach: Rebirth of Souls, players engage in battles where they use attacks to diminish their opponents’ Reishi. Decreasing the opponent’s Reishi also reduces their Konpaku, which represents their health. Players can execute combos to deplete multiple Konpaku and utilize reverse actions during both attacking and defending. Accumulated spiritual power allows fighters to unleash Spiritual Pressure Moves, awaken, and activate Bankai.
The game’s storyline and characters will span from the “Substitute Soul Reaper” arc to the “Arrancar” arc of the original manga series. Players can expect to see iconic characters like Ichigo Kurosaki, Rukia Kuchiki, Uryu Ishida, and Yasutora Sado (Chad) in the game.
The development of Bleach: Rebirth of Souls was inspired by the 20th anniversary of the Bleach anime. Katsuaki Tsuzuki serves as the game’s producer. Additionally, the Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War anime, which premiered in October 2022, will cover the original manga’s final arc through its ending. The anime is set to run for four cours with breaks in between, covering volumes 55-74 of the manga.
Fans of the Bleach franchise can look forward to experiencing intense battles and unlocking unique sword abilities like Bankai in Bleach: Rebirth of Souls. Stay tuned for more updates and announcements leading up to the game’s release in early 2025.
