Aquaplus recently announced the launch of the To Heart remake and Project Kizuna RPG during the “Grand Aqua Festival 30th Anniversary” event. The To Heart remake will feature full-3D graphics for characters and will be available on Nintendo Switch and PC in the spring of 2025. The game’s physical version will cost 4,378 yen, while the download version will be priced at 3,080 yen.
The remake will include new cast members such as Kana Ichinose and Hina Yomiya, who will voice Akari Kamigishi and Multi, respectively. The opening theme song “Feeling Heart” will be performed by YURiKA. Kengo Uchibori is directing the Project Kizuna RPG, with Naoya Shimokawa as the producer, Munemitsu Suga as the scenario writer, and Tatsuki Amazuyu and Misato Mitsumi as character designers.
Aquaplus is also working on a new Utawarerumono visual novel series and has restarted the previously canceled Jasmine visual novel. The original To Heart visual novel was released in 1997 for Windows PC and later on the PlayStation in 1999. It has since become a classic in the genre, influencing many otaku media with its character designs and relaxed pacing. The game inspired a television anime in 1999, as well as a second season in 2004.
Overall, fans of the To Heart series and Aquaplus games have exciting new releases to look forward to in the coming year. Stay tuned for more updates on these projects as they develop.
