Gundam GQuuuuuuX TV Anime Premiere Date Set
A much-anticipated event is on the horizon for fans of the Mobile Suit Gundam series. Following the recent Japanese theatrical release of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning-, the official website has announced that the full TV anime series is set to premiere on April 8 in Japan.
Excitement is building with an additional stage event scheduled for AnimeJapan 2025 in March, promising potential further insights into this highly-anticipated series. While fans eagerly await more details, a short promotional video has been shared to whet their appetites.
The theatrical debut of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning- took place in Japan on January 17, with a North American release by GKIDS slated for February 28.
Behind the Scenes Talent
The creative minds behind this new Gundam installment are equally as impressive as its predecessor. Kazuya Tsurumaki, known for his work on FLCL and Gunbuster 2: Diebuster, takes the helm as the director of the series. Hideaki Anno, the mastermind behind the beloved Evangelion franchise, collaborates with Yōji Enokido, renowned for his work on popular anime such as Ouran High School Host Club and Sailor Moon Super S, on the script.
The character design is in the capable hands of Take, celebrated for illustrations in Katanagatari and Pokémon Sun & Moon, while the mechanical designs are crafted by Ikuto Yamashita, who also contributed to Evangelion.
Yumi Ikeda and Shie Kobori round out the crew as Animation Character Design and Supervising Character Animation Director, respectively.

The main cast of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX includes talented voice actors such as Tomoyo Kurosawa as Amate Yuzuriha, Yui Ishikawa as Nyaan, and Shimba Tsuchiya as Shuji Ito.

Amate Yuzuriha, a high school student residing in a space colony, finds her peaceful life disrupted when she encounters a war refugee named Nyaan. Drawn into the world of illegal mobile suit dueling known as Clan Battle, she assumes the entry name “Machu” and pilots the powerful GQuuuuuuX.
