Orange Inc. recently added two new manga titles to its e-Bookstore Service emaqi. One of the additions is Kouichi Ohnishi’s “Dívčí Válka: Maidens’ War,” a gripping historical epic set in 1420 Bohemia during the Hussite Wars. The story follows 12-year-old Šárka as she joins a band of rebels fighting against Catholic oppression. The manga offers a harrowing glimpse into 15th-century warfare through the eyes of a young girl, based on actual events.

The second addition is Yoriko Minato’s “S Friends,” which tells the story of Shoko, a single mother who reunites with her first love, Kazuki, after four years apart. Their physical relationship intensifies, but Kazuki reveals that he only wants a physical connection, leaving Shoko heartbroken. The manga explores the complexities of sex and love between mature adults.

emaqi is currently running a welcome campaign, offering first-time buyers 80% off specific manga titles until December 19. The platform originally launched in the United States and Canada with approximately 6,000 volumes of manga from 13 publishers. Orange Inc. plans to add at least one new title previously unpublished in English every week.

Readers can create a free account on emaqi to access a wide range of content, including detailed synopses and sample chapters. They can purchase individual volumes or subscribe to ongoing series directly through the platform. Orange Inc. is also considering launching the service as a mobile app next year.
