Goddess of Victory, a popular game by Nikke, recently released a new animated short for their “Old Tales” event. This short, animated by A-1 Pictures, known for their work on Sword Art Online and Solo Leveling, is over three minutes long and contains some spoilers for the game. Yusuke Shibata, known for his work on Smile Down the Runway, was in charge of storyboarding and technical direction for the short. Rina Morita, who worked on HYPNOSISMIC -Division Rap Battle- Rhyme Anima PLUS, handled character design and chief animation direction. The background music, “Unbreakable,” was composed by Cosmograph and performed by Yurisa.
Goddess of Victory: Nikke was first released on iOS and Android devices globally in November 2022. The “Old Tales” event celebrates the game’s second anniversary. A PC version was also launched in February 2023, allowing for cross-play between mobile and PC users.
