Crunchyroll recently announced the English dub cast and premiere date for the anime series Demon Lord 2099. The series is based on the light novel series by Daigo Murasaki and Kureta. The English cast includes Ian Sinclair as Veltol, Sarah Wiedenheft as Machina, Rob McCollum as Marcus, Nia Celeste as Takahashi, Dio Garner as Gram, and Lydia Mackay as Kinohara.
The anime premiered on October 12 on various Japanese TV channels and is also available for streaming on d Anime Store and ABEMA in Japan. Crunchyroll will be streaming the series in English-speaking, Latin America, and European countries.
The series is directed by Ryo Ando and written by Yūichirō Momose. Ryousuke Tanigawa is responsible for character design, Jin Aketagawa is the sound director, and Tatsuya Katō is composing the music for the series. Shiyui performs the opening theme song “Hollow,” while sekai performs the ending theme song “Spira.”
Yen Press is releasing the novels in English, and the story is set in a futuristic Shinjuku where the legendary Demon Lord Veltol makes his return to rule the world.
The manga adaptation of the novels is illustrated by Kiiro Akashiro and can be found on Kadokawa’s Shōnen Ace+ website.
