Kujira Tokiwa, the author of the popular light novel series “The Holy Grail of Eris,” has exciting news for fans. The series is getting an anime adaptation, announced by Drecom. Along with the announcement, a teaser promotional video and visual were released to build anticipation for the upcoming anime.
The story follows Connie, a young noblewoman known for her sincerity. After losing her fiancée and being framed for a crime, Connie’s life takes a dramatic turn when she is possessed by the ghost of Scarlet Castiel, an infamous villainess. With Scarlet’s charisma and intelligence, Connie clears her name and sets out to uncover the truth behind Scarlet’s death and an ongoing conspiracy.
The anime adaptation will feature Kana Ichinose as Constance Grail and Sayumi Suzushiro as Scarlett Castiel, reprising their roles from the light novel’s previous drama CD. The series, originally launched on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in 2017, will have its five volumes published simultaneously on November 7.
In addition to the light novel series, there is also a manga adaptation by Hinase Momoyama, which began serialization on Square Enix’s Manga UP! platform in 2019. The manga’s 11th volume is set to be released on November 7. Both the light novel and manga adaptations are available in English through Yen Press.
