Kadokawa recently announced four new cast members for the upcoming second season of the popular anime series Ishura. The new cast members include Yurika Kubo as Tu the Magic, Hiroaki Hirata as Ozonezma the Capricious, Wataru Takagi as Zigita Zogi the Thousandth, and Kappei Yamaguchi as Krafnir the Hatch of Truth.
Tu the Magic is a mysterious girl rumored to be the illegitimate child of the Demon King, while Ozonezma the Capricious is a chimera-like doctor with a wolf-like body and eight limbs. Zigita Zogi the Thousandth is a goblin known for his expertise in battle tactics, and Krafnir the Hatch of Truth is a word arts user who has unlocked the fifth system of word arts.
These new cast members join the previously announced lineup, which includes Mariya Ise, Miku Itō, Rikiya Koyama, Nao Tōyama, Daisuke Ono, Ayumu Murase, Kujira, Megumi Ogata, Kenshō Ono, Kikuko Inoue, Hikaru Midorikawa, Atsushi Ono, Yasuhiro Mamiya, Tetsu Inada, Hōchū Ohtsuka, Nana Mizuki, and more.
The second season of Ishura is set to premiere in January 2025. The first season of the anime premiered in Japan earlier this year and is currently streaming on Disney+ worldwide and Hulu in the U.S.
The series is based on the popular light novel series written by Keiso and Kureta, which follows a group of demigods vying for the title of “One True Hero” in a world where the Demon King has been defeated. The novels have received critical acclaim and have been adapted into a manga series as well.
