Bandai Namco Entertainment recently streamed the opening movie for the upcoming game, Bleach: Rebirth of Souls. This new 3D arena fighting game is set to be released for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam in early 2025. In this game, players will engage in battles using attacks to reduce their opponents’ Reishi. By depleting their Reishi, players can diminish their opponent’s Konpaku, which represents their health in the game. Combos can be used to take down multiple Konpaku, and players can unleash powerful moves like Bankai.
The story and characters in the game will span from the “Substitute Soul Reaper” arc to the “Arrancar” arc of the original manga series. The game features iconic characters from the Bleach anime franchise such as Ichigo Kurosaki, Rukia Kuchiki, Uryu Ishida, and Yasutora Sado.
The game was inspired by the 20th anniversary of the Bleach anime series and is produced by Katsuaki Tsuzuki. This game follows the success of the Bleach: Brave Souls action role-playing game released for iOS and Android devices in 2015. Other smartphone games in the Bleach franchise include Bleach: Immortal Soul, Bleach: Paradise Lost, BLEACH Kyo・Kai-Tamashinokakusei: Shinigami, and Bleach: Soul Rising.
Additionally, fans can look forward to a new hybrid casual game based on the Bleach anime series currently in development by KLab. The Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War anime, which premiered in October 2022, is set to run for four cours and covers the final arc of the original manga.
Fans of the Bleach franchise can anticipate the release of Bleach: Rebirth of Souls in 2025 and immerse themselves in thrilling battles alongside their favorite characters from the series. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new game as it approaches its launch date.
