The story follows a child prodigy named Rafal who learns the truth about the universe in the fifteenth century, a time when claiming that the Earth revolves around the sun was considered heresy. He must flee from the Inquisition and uncover his master’s research with the help of a peculiar pendant.

The anime features a star-studded cast including Maaya Sakamoto, Kenjirō Tsuda, and Shō Hayami. The series is directed by Kenichi Shimizu and the music is composed by kensuke ushio. The opening theme song “Kaijū” is performed by sakanaction, while the ending theme song “Aporia” is performed by yorushika.

The manga won the Grand Prize for the 26th Annual Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize awards, making Uoto the youngest ever to win the award at 24 years old. The series promises to be an exciting and thought-provoking journey through history and science.
