The manga was later licensed in English by Vertical, with the 12th volume hitting shelves in November 2015. The series also received a three-in-one omnibus release.
Chi’s Sweet Home inspired two 2D television anime series in 2008 and 2009, with Crunchyroll streaming the second series, Chi’s New Address, to audiences worldwide. Discotek Media acquired the license for both seasons and brought them to fans on DVD.
In 2016, Chi’s Sweet Adventure took a leap into the world of 3DCG anime, captivating audiences with its unique visual style. The series premiered in Japan in October, followed by a streaming release on Amazon’s Anime Strike service with English subtitles.
