The television anime of Tow Ubukata’s Bye Bye, Earth novel wrapped up its first season with a big announcement – a second season is set to premiere in 2025. The anime premiered on BS NTV on July 13 and on WOWOW on July 12, with Crunchyroll streaming the series as it airs.

The story of Bye Bye, Earth is set in a world where everyone takes on the form of animals, except for Belle, the only girl without these characteristics. Armed with a sword, Belle embarks on a journey to find others like her and becomes entangled in the conflicts between different cities and the outside world.

The anime features a star-studded cast, including Fairouz Ai, Kōki Uchiyama, Junichi Suwabe, Natsuki Hanae, and many more. Yasuto Nishikata is directing the anime at LIDEN FILMS, with Hiroyuki Yoshino handling the series scripts and Yūki Hino designing the characters. Kevin Penkin is composing the music for the series.

Ubukata’s Bye Bye, Earth novel originally released in two volumes in 2000, with illustrations by Yoshitaka Amano. The story received a new edition in 2007-2008 with art by Hyung-Tae Kim. A manga adaptation by Ryū Asahi ran from 2020 to 2022 in Young King Ours magazine.
