Kemono Friends Stage Play Set to Premiere in November

The beloved franchise, Kemono Friends, is gearing up for a new stage play adaptation set to premiere in Tokyo at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel Club eX from November 8-17. Titled Butai “Kemono Friends” Japari Stage! ~Kimi no Ashioto ga Mata Kikoeta~, this stage play promises to bring fans a fresh and exciting experience.

Directed and written by Hiroki Murakami, the play will star Nana Oda alongside a talented cast including Azusa Inamura, Rihona Katō, Caracal, and many more. The franchise also unveiled a special visual in celebration of its 10th anniversary, inviting fans to immerse themselves in the world of Kemono Friends once again.

This new stage play follows the success of the previous adaptation, Butai “Kemono Friends” Ōkina Mimi to Chiisana Kiseki Re:Japari Stage!, which ran in October 2023 after a four-year hiatus. The franchise’s journey on stage began in June 2017, with subsequent productions in 2018 and 2019.

For fans unfamiliar with Kemono Friends, the franchise originated from Nexon’s mobile app game in 2016, which later inspired a popular 12-episode anime series in 2017. The sequel, Kemono Friends 2, premiered in 2019, captivating audiences worldwide. Additionally, Sega’s Kemono Friends 3 game and various smartphone apps and manga adaptations have further expanded the franchise’s reach.

As fans eagerly anticipate the upcoming stage play, the world of Kemono Friends continues to evolve and enchant audiences of all ages. Stay tuned for more updates and get ready to embark on a thrilling adventure with your favorite animal friends on stage this November!
