Aniplex recently released a teaser trailer for the upcoming second season of UniteUp! -Uni:Birth- during the Aniplex Online Fest stream. The trailer gives viewers a sneak peek at the new outfits for the main characters and also previews the season’s opening theme song “Uni:Birth” performed by the project’s cast.

The second season of UniteUp! is set to premiere in January 2025, and Crunchyroll has announced that they will be streaming the anime in various regions including North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS. The first season of the anime premiered in January 2023, and Crunchyroll streamed it as it aired.

The series follows the story of high school student Akira Kiyose, who is scouted by the entertainment agency “sMiLea Production” after his singing videos gain popularity online. He teams up with Banri Naoe and Chihiro Isuzugawa to form an idol group under the mentorship of the legendary idol duo “Anela.” Together, they aim to make their idol debut with their own unique style and passion.

The first season of the anime featured four idol groups, each with their own set of talented members. Sony Music launched the UniteUp! project on YouTube in December 2021 to showcase various artists and hidden talents.
