Aniplex recently revealed a new promotional video for the upcoming anime series “Ameku M.D.: Doctor Detective” during the Aniplex Online Fest stream. The video unveiled the cast, staff, and premiere date of January 2025.

The cast includes talented voice actors such as Ayane Sakura, Kenshō Ono, Manaka Iwami, Nana Mizuki, and Fumihiko Tachiki. The series will be directed by Kazuya Iwata and produced by project No.9. The series composition will be handled by Satoru Sugizawa, with Yūko Kakihara co-writing the scripts.

The story, written by Mikito Chinen, follows a doctor who solves murders and medical mysteries in the department of diagnosis at a general hospital. With Chinen being a practicing doctor himself, the series promises an intriguing blend of medical expertise and detective work.

The novel series has been well-received, with over 3 million copies in circulation. Hiroki Ohara also adapted the novel into a manga series, which ended in 2018. The anime adaptation is highly anticipated by fans of the original work.
