The DAN DA DAN anime has revealed five additional cast members, a transformational visual, and three commercials. The new cast members include Ryūzaburō Ōtomo as Flatwoods Monster, Kikuko Inoue as Acrobatic Silky, Tomokazu Seki as Dover Demon, Tomokazu Sugita as Taro, and Fumi Hirano as Hana.

The commercials showcase different aspects of the show, focusing on battles, romance, and the occult. The series is set to premiere in Japan on October 3 on TBS and MBS’s Super Animeism TURBO programming block. Netflix will stream the anime worldwide starting on October 3, while Crunchyroll will also stream it. GKIDS has acquired the theatrical, videogram, and digital transactional rights for the anime.

The Japanese cast includes Shion Wakayama, Natsuki Hanae, Mayumi Tanaka, Kazuya Nakai, Nana Mizuki, Ayane Sakura, and Kaito Ishikawa. The anime is directed by Fūga Yamashiro at Science SARU, with Hiroshi Seko supervising and writing the series scripts. Composer kensuke ushio is scoring the music, and Naoyuki Onda is designing the characters.

The story follows Momo, a high school girl from a family of spirit mediums, and her classmate Okarun, an occult fanatic. As they encounter paranormal activities that transcend comprehension, Momo and Okarun discover hidden powers and a fateful love. The theatrical screening of the first three episodes earned over $1 million during its limited-time screening in the U.S.

The anime is based on Yukinobu Tatsu’s manga serialized on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ service. Viz Media publishes the manga in English. With its unique blend of paranormal mystery, battles, and romance, DAN DA DAN promises an exciting and thrilling anime experience for viewers worldwide.
