Netflix has released a sneak peek of the first four minutes of the new animation project Mobile Suit Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance. This six-episode mini-series will debut on Netflix globally on October 17. The story is set during the One Year War in Europe, featuring characters like Iria Sorari and iconic mecha like the Zeon mobile suit Zaku II and the Federation mobile suit Gundam.

What makes this project unique is that it is produced entirely using Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 5. The team behind the animation includes writer Gavin Hignight, known for works like Tekken: Bloodline and Transformers: Cyberverse, and director Erasmus Brosdau. Executive producers Naohiro Ogata and Hignight, along with producer Hiroaki Yura, bring their expertise to the project. The main character designer is Manuel Augusto Dischinger Moura, and mechanical design supervisor Kimitoshi Yamane, known for his work on Cowboy Bebop and various Gundam projects.

Adding to the international flavor of the project, Australian actress Celia Massingham lends her voice to the lead character and performs motion capture for the animation. The music for the series is composed by Wilbert Roget II, known for his work on games like Mortal Kombat 11 and Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris.
