Zatsu Tabi Anime Adds Sayumi Suzushiro and Sae Hiratsuka to Cast
Kadokawa recently announced the addition of two new cast members to the upcoming anime adaptation of Kenta Ishizaka’s manga “Zatsu Tabi -That’s Journey-“. Sayumi Suzushiro will be voicing the character Koyomi Hasunuma, who is Chika’s best friend from high school. On the other hand, Sae Hiratsuka will play the role of Yui Unoki, a junior from high school who is friends with both Chika and Koyomi.
The anime is set to premiere in 2025, with Hika Tsukishiro voicing the protagonist Chika Suzugamori. Masaharu Watanabe, known for his work on “Wakaba Girl” and “Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-“, will be directing the anime at Makaria. The series scripts will be handled by Yoshiko Nakamura, while rere will be in charge of character design. The music for the series will be composed by Yoshiaki Fujisawa.
The manga follows the story of Chika Suzugamori, a college student who has been trying to get her manga pitches accepted by publishers after winning a rookie manga award. However, faced with constant rejection, she decides to embark on a journey without a specific destination. The manga, which began serialization in Kadokawa’s Dengeki Maoh magazine in March 2019, is still ongoing, with the 11th compiled volume released on June 26.
In addition to the main manga, a spinoff titled “Zatsu Tabi – Another Side View- Hasunuma Koyomi no Nichijō” (The Daily Life of Koyomi Hasunuma) was launched by Meidosuki in Dengeki Maoh in November 2023.
