The live-action series adaptation of Ai Tanaka’s Tengu no Daidokoro manga is gearing up for its second season with new cast members and a key visual. Robin Furuya and Konosuke Harada join the cast, while Taizō Harada, Makiko Watanabe, and Akihiro Kakuta reprise their roles from season 1. The show will premiere on BS-TBS in October with 10 episodes.

The manga follows two brothers, On and Motoi, who are descendants of tengu, goblin-like creatures in Japanese folklore. On, who is 14 years old, has recently discovered his heritage. The story revolves around their everyday lives as they live together separated from normal society.

Ai Tanaka, the creator of Tengu no Daidokoro, launched the manga in Kodansha’s Afternoon magazine in September 2021. Tanaka is also known for their works such as “Apple Children of Aeon” and “King in Limbo.”

The first season of the live-action adaptation premiered in October 2023 on BS-TBS and BS-TBS 4K. The upcoming season will continue to explore the lives of On and Motoi, delving deeper into their unique heritage as descendants of tengu.
